Who is responsible

Genesis Events and Media Group operates Genesis Coworking and is the data fiduciary for the personal data described here. For any privacy question or request, write to hello@genesismedia.co or call +91 96534 54848.

What we collect

• Contact and account details: your name, email address and mobile number, and the sign-in methods you use (Google, Apple, email code or mobile code). We record whether each email or number has been verified.
• Bookings: dates, times, spaces, number of people or attendees, any notes you add, and the policy version you accepted.
• Payments: amounts, payment, autopay and refund status, and Razorpay reference numbers. We never see or store your card number, UPI PIN or bank login; Razorpay handles those.
• Invoice details (optional): a billing name, GSTIN and address, if you add them.
• Visits: a visitor log at the premises and, where you message us, your WhatsApp conversation with us.
• Technical data: your IP address, used briefly to prevent abuse of sign-in and forms, security logs of sign-ins and staff actions, and anonymous page-view statistics (no advertising cookies).

We do not need Aadhaar, PAN or other identity documents to take a booking. We may ask to see a photo ID at the premises, but we do not copy or store it.

Why we use it

• To take and manage your bookings and membership, process payments, autopay and refunds, issue GST invoices, and send confirmations, reminders and changes.
• To link a booking made as a guest to your account when you later sign in with the same verified email or mobile number.
• To reply to visit requests and questions, keep the space and service secure, and meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
• To send occasional updates only if you opt in. This is optional and separate from booking; you can opt out at any time in your profile.

CCTV

Common areas of the premises may be monitored by CCTV for safety and security. Cameras do not cover washrooms. Footage is normally overwritten within 30 days unless needed to investigate an incident.

Who helps us

These providers process data for us only to run the service: Auth0 (sign-in and verification codes), Razorpay (payments, autopay and refunds), Neon (database hosting), Vercel (website hosting and anonymous analytics), Resend (transactional email) and Upstash (rate limiting). Some of them store data outside India under contractual safeguards. We do not sell your personal data. We share it with authorities only where the law requires.

How long we keep it

• Account details: while your account is active, and for 2 years after your last booking or sign-in.
• Bookings, payments and invoices: 8 years, as required for tax and accounting records.
• Visit requests and messages: 1 year.
• Security logs: 1 year. CCTV: normally 30 days.

Your rights

You can see and update your details in your profile, ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct, complete or erase it (except records we must keep by law), withdraw consent for marketing at any time, and nominate someone to exercise these rights for you. Write to hello@genesismedia.co; we reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our reply, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Children

Bookings are for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.

Changes

We may update this notice. The current version is always on this page, with its version number above.
