Genesis Coworking
Terms and conditions
These terms apply to every desk visit, pass, Dedicated Seat and meeting-room booking at Genesis Coworking. By booking, you agree to them.
Policy version 2026-10-09. Operator: Genesis Events and Media Group
1. About us
Genesis Coworking is operated by Genesis Events and Media Group (GSTIN 27ECGPM5601D1ZU), 004, H.S. Sankalp Siddhi C, Plot 122/123, Sector 10, New Panvel East, Panvel 410206, Maharashtra (“Genesis”, “we”, “us”). Contact: hello@genesismedia.co, +91 96534 54848. “You” means the person who makes the booking and anyone using the space under it.
2. What you get
A booking gives you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the booked workspace and the shared amenities listed on our website, during the booked time and within our opening hours (Monday to Saturday, 9 am to 7 pm, closed Sundays and listed holidays). It does not create a tenancy, lease or any other interest in the premises, and you may not use the premises as your registered office, business address or GST place of business.
- Flexible Seat (half-day, full-day and passes): any available shared desk, per person. A pass is for one named person; each visit must be reserved.
- Dedicated Seat: one assigned desk for your use, month to month, with 4 hours of meeting-room time each month (section 5).
- Meeting room: exclusive use of the room for up to 6 people for the booked time. A 15-minute reset follows each booking.
We may move you to an equivalent desk where reasonably needed (for example, maintenance). Amenities such as Wi-Fi, power backup and printing are provided on a reasonable-efforts basis; a short outage is not a breach of these terms.
3. Prices, GST and payment
- Prices are listed on our website in Indian rupees and exclude GST, charged at 18% on top. The total is shown before you pay. GST invoices are issued in the booking name; add your business name and GSTIN in your profile before paying if you need them on the invoice.
- Payments are processed by Razorpay. A booking is confirmed only after the payment is verified and the space is allocated; if the space can no longer be allocated, we refund you in full.
- We may change prices for future bookings. A confirmed booking keeps the price you paid. For a Dedicated Seat we give at least one month's notice of any change to the monthly rent.
4. Cancellations and refunds
Cancellations, reschedules and refunds follow our Cancellations and refunds policy. Each booking records the policy version you accepted.
5. Dedicated Seat membership
- Start and billing. At sign-up you pay the first month's rent (plus GST) and a refundable security deposit of 3 months' rent. Rent for each following month is charged automatically on the same date each month through a Razorpay autopay mandate you authorise at checkout.
- Failed payments. If an autopay charge fails, Razorpay retries it. If rent remains unpaid for 7 days after the due date, we may suspend access to the seat until it is paid, and after 15 days we may end the membership and recover the unpaid amount from the deposit.
- Ending it. Either side may end the membership with one month's notice. You give notice from your dashboard; your seat continues to the end of the next paid month, and autopay then stops. Rent for a month already paid is not refunded.
- Deposit. The deposit earns no interest and is not rent. Within 15 working days of the membership ending, we refund it to your original payment method, less any unpaid rent, charges or reasonable cost of repairing damage beyond normal wear, with an itemised note of any deduction.
- Your desk and belongings. You may keep your own monitor and personal items at your desk, at your own risk. Remove them by your last day; items left more than 7 days after the end may be disposed of.
- Meeting-room time. 4 hours each month, booked online in 30-minute steps, subject to availability. Unused time does not carry forward and has no cash value.
6. House rules
- Carry a photo ID; we may ask to see it, and we may keep a visitor log.
- Keep calls at desks short and at a considerate volume. Use the meeting room for longer or confidential calls.
- Keep your desk tidy and clear shared areas after use. Food is welcome in the pantry; please do not bring strong-smelling food to desks.
- No smoking, vaping, alcohol or illegal substances on the premises. No pets, weapons, or hazardous or flammable materials.
- Respect other members' privacy: do not photograph or record other people, their screens or Genesis Media's work without permission. Shoots, recordings and events need our written approval.
- Guests are welcome in a meeting room you have booked and count towards its capacity. Guests may not use desks without their own booking.
- No harassment, discrimination or abusive behaviour of any kind.
- Do not alter furniture, wiring or the network, or connect equipment that could disturb the power supply.
7. Internet and IT
Use the Wi-Fi lawfully and fairly: no illegal downloads, hacking, scanning of other devices, spam or anything that would overload the network. We may limit or block traffic to protect the network. You are responsible for your own devices, data, backups and security software.
8. Liability and your belongings
- You are responsible for your belongings. We are not liable for loss, theft or damage to personal property, except where caused by our negligence.
- You are responsible for damage to the premises, furniture or equipment caused by you or your guests, beyond normal wear.
- To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss (such as lost business, profit or data), and our total liability for any booking is limited to the amount you paid for it (for a Dedicated Seat, three months' rent). Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Suspension and ending access
We may refuse entry or end a booking or membership straight away for serious or repeated breach of these terms, unlawful activity, or behaviour that puts people or property at risk. If we do so without a breach on your part, you receive a proportionate refund. If we have to close the space (for example, an emergency or a direction from an authority), we will offer an alternative date or a refund for the unused part.
10. Your account
You can book as a guest and create an account later with the same email or mobile number. Keep your sign-in methods secure; bookings made from your account are treated as made by you. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has used it.
11. Privacy
We handle your personal data as described in our Privacy notice.
12. Changes, law and disputes
We may update these terms; the version you accepted applies to your booking, and Dedicated Seat members get at least 30 days' notice of material changes. These terms are governed by the laws of India. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve any problem; if a dispute remains, the courts at Panvel, Raigad district, Maharashtra, have jurisdiction. If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest still applies.
